After World War II, many wondered how world powers could have sent their Olympic teams to Berlin in 1936. It legitimized the Nazi regime. And yet today, the world has repeated its terrible mistake by participating in the Beijing Games.
It’s not just populations within China like the Uyghurs that have been targeted by the Beijing regime. Only two years ago, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) unleashed a deadly pandemic that killed millions around the world, destroyed families and communities, and impoverished entire nations. Western officials may choose to overlook the death and destruction China left in its wake, but ordinary people can’t.
