Not sure why this is surprising. It's better to be a dictator than just about anything else I should think. Well, until the whole "hanging upside down in the public square" or "blowing one's brains out in a bunker" part of the show.

That's the thing isn't it? Personally I don't want to think about gay people having sex. I barely want to think about MOST straight people having sex but I totally get the "ick" factor that so many of us older folks were raised with.
The key is that no matter how much I don't want to think about them having sex I can still appreciate them as people!
I have a few gay friends and honestly they are about as cool as anyone else. They are good people.
No one is ever asked to LIKE everything....but ACCEPT IT and live and let live IS something we can all be expected to achieve.
