"Best Health Care System In The World" = Most Covid Deaths???

How many times have you heard the conservative argument that the USA has the "Best Healthcare System in the World?"

Progressives have called out that BS for years, but conservatives would not listen. "Oh, the wait times of socialized healthcare," they routinely claimed.

Now look at them. Reduced to believing and repeating such lies as "Anybody who wants a test can get one," (Still not true.)

“The 15 (cases in the US) within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero.”

What SAD BS!!!

The streets of America are 'paved with gold,' but the gutters are running with blood.

Our healthcare system has been put to the test; and it has failed miserably.

Just look at healthcare workers in South Korea. Look at their PPE. Full body suits, head to toe. Not an exposed square inch. They look like the people in Africa, treating Ebola.

Then look around in the USA.

Our people are wearing partial suits, open in the back. No hoods. Ankles exposed.

How many US nurses and doctors have already died?

"Best health care system in the world," yeah right. Biggest lie since 'fair impeachment trial.'

What we have is the best BS'er in the world. And a pretty ruthless one at that.

The Covid 19 pandemic proves beyond all doubt that employer based private healthcare is an anachronism, that government centered socialized medicine is the standard for the civilized world, and that American Trumpanzees, continuing to support the orange degenerate Trump, are the dumbest humans in the history of the human species.

Hello NiftyNiblick,

The Covid 19 pandemic proves beyond all doubt that employer based private healthcare is an anachronism, that government centered socialized medicine is the standard for the civilized world, ...

One big glaring problem of employer based health care is that when people lose their jobs through no fault of their own, they also lose their health care.

Government based health care does not have that problem.

Hello NiftyNiblick,

Government based health care does not have that problem.

I'm pretty sure that was Nifty's point.

The sycophants of the right realize this also...but they defend the status quo because they are just following orders!

Where have I heard that before?

Hi Frank,

Agreed.

The sycophants of the right realize this also...but they defend the status quo because they are just following orders!

Where have I heard that before?

Oh yeah, right?

What is it about that mindset which simply CANNOT admit it when wrong?

I don't get these people who have to pretend they are perfect, that they never make any mistakes, that they never have to admit getting something wrong.

Conservatives got it wrong when they claimed the USA has the best healthcare system in the world already so we don't want government-based healthcare.

Our healthcare system has a HUGE GLARING PROBLEM!!!

And that HUGE GLARING PROBLEM just became readily apparent.

Not only have millions of Americans just lost their healthcare, tens of thousands of Americans have died because our healthcare system has inadequately protected them from Coronavirus.

It is clear we were woefully unprepared and our lack of leadership let us down precisely at the crucial time when real leadership was needed.

Conservatives claim the president took appropriate action in January by limiting travel from China. That wasn't enough. He also needed to invoke the War Powers Defense Act and direct the mass manufacture of PPE, ventilators and mass testing capability equipment, all of which are in severe lack of adequate supply now.

It is vital that the nation holds the president accountable for his failure to perform his job on November 3rd, or preferable sooner, when voting by mail.

Americans, while standing at the graves of lost dear friends and loved ones, should be able to make a well informed choice when voting in 2020.

The best health care system in the world would NOT have such a severe lack of testing capability that we don't even know who has the disease and who doesn't.

Not knowing where the enemy is makes it impossible to fight a war.

People here love our healthcare system and regard it as the best in the world, but nothing can overcome government meanness and incompetence. Trumpf is probably the worst in the world, but the rich shites who look after themselves and let others die have their effect everywhere.

Are you trying to tell us that all we have to do to have the best healthcare in the world is just make it universal like Europe.

Tell me sport how much time does it take to identify a new virus determine it's properties and create test to identify, build and distribute said tests for over 300,000,000 Americans, 30 days 60 days how long?

A country with the best health care in the world would aggressively prepare for and confront a pandemic.

South Korea is regarded as having one of the best health care systems in the world.

A graph of South Korea's Active Cases shows what 'having the peak behind us' looks like:
