Best Pair of Senators

Best pair of Senators hailing from the same State:

1) Vermont: Bernie Sanders, Patrick Leahy
2) Washington: Patty Murray, Maria Cantwell
3) Mass.: Ted Kennedy, John Kerry

sorry, USC. Your state has the worst pair, almost: McConnel, and that senile insane dude. :pke:

Oh I will agree with you there, I went to a 4th function just so I could boo McConnel. Mitch the snitch is a bushie all the way and our guv too. The baseball dude is just an idiot used to introduce stuff that everyone else is embaressed to introuduce.

And what exactly makes them "best" in your opinion?

Salazar and Allard top all three of your pairs. I don't know all the Senators well enough to say they are the best pair, but they are both pretty good and fairly moderate.

Allard? Surely you jest. Isn't that old kook retiring? I don't even think he's in the top 15 or 20 of influential GOP senators. Is he?

If I was a GOPer, I'd pick the Snowe-Collins pair from Maine ;)

I go by what they do... not by someones list of influential senators. Plus I really like Salazar and he can pick up any slack from Allard. Regardless, they crush your three pairs.

That said, I do like Snowe and Collins.

"Isn't that old kook retiring?"

Just a side note.... your old kook in MA is older than Allard... and far more worthless. The other MA tool is not a spring chicken either.

While I certainly disagree with the choices, I'm surprised my state didn't get a mention with Obama and Durbin. :cof1:

Alabama: Sessions/Shelby

Probably one of the worst.

Sessions sucks. He makes a lot of noise and gets more headlines than Shelby, but Shelby is the influential one. Sessions made a big fuss about the fence, and that helped him.

He needed that help though after he dared to vote to extend the Assault Weapons Ban. That was a highly unpopular move here.

We own most corrupt
congressman = Dollar Bill
Senate = Pervert Vitter
Our corruption knows no party lines.

Topper, I'm giving props to Senator Mary Landrieu.

She was awesome last night. She was actually one of the more compelling and articulate voices against the iraq war policy of Bush, last night. I mean, she's not really a player in the anti-war left, but that lady can give a compelling speech. She's very good that way.

The "best" is the most liberal. The "worst" most conservative.

I think one of the best Senators in DiFi. She is by no means perfect but she is dignified, classy and for the most part avoids a lot of the rhetorical shill that we love so much about our politicians. Many on the right in CA don't always/often agree with her but they definitely respect her.

Many on the left don't agree with her either.

You have a good one in Boxer. I like her style a lot.

I like Mary and Vitter, now Vitter is done
I didn't realize he was soo anti-Clinton and moral this and that.
Hopefully he can be shamed into resigning, Looks like Reid is going for that.

My state is not even in the running... Demint is a biggoted embarrassment of a prick. Par for the course for my state... Had some hope for Lindsey Graham but he stunk up Meet The Press last Sunday...
