Biden breaks norms and pardons family members

Teflon Don

I'm back baby

For people who claim to have broken no laws, there are a whole lot of preemptive pardons flying around

And going all the way back to January 1, 2014

Curious behavior

Hm..... Bill pardoned his half brother. Trump pardoned his son-in-law's father. So not exactly 'breaking norms'.

Not to mention by this logic Trump's multiple pardons of his staff means they're guilty and have broken laws....

I'm cool with it.

Biden did it because he knew what was potentially coming next. Members of his family were going to be investigated and likely charged for a range of felonies from tax evasion to money laundering and influence pedaling. That puts him lower than Nixon, possibly the only other person preemptively pardoned in US history.

They were all accused of actual crimes and convicted in some cases.

Not close to the same you fucking moron.

These may be declared invalid since biden is senile and does not know what he's doing. He's just told to sign something and signs it. Furthermore the whole idea of preemptive pardons makes no sense. You have to be first convicted to get a pardon. Nixon got a preemptive pardon but that was 50 years ago and was wrong then. If i said slavery used to be legal so it's legal now, would you accept that argument.?

Nothing funnier than a MAGA moron howling about proper presidential norms.

It is fine with me that you admit that the Biden family is a criminal syndicate going all the way back to January 1, 2014

That date does seem an odd choice doesn't it?

I’m thrilled about these pardons. I really am.

I suspect that nobody has shattered the foolish illusions of more leftists than the Bungling Biden administration has, although few are likely to admit it publicly.

Make them look:

There have been two past instances where U.S. Presidents have issued pardons to family members.

  • President Bill Clinton in 2001, during his last days in office, issued a pardon to his half-brother, Roger Clinton, who had been convicted of drug-related charges in the 1980s.
  • President Donald Trump in 2021, just before leaving office, issued pardons to several individuals, including his son-in-law's father, Charles Kushner. Charles Kushner had been convicted on charges including tax evasion, witness tampering, and illegal campaign contributions.

These examples show that while it is not common, presidents have used their pardon power to benefit family members.
