On Thursday, presidential candidate Joe Biden claimed that a Black man had invented the light bulb, not "a White guy named Edison."

Biden was at a community meeting in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the site of the recent police shooting of Jacob Blake. He was addressing the ways in which Black Americans are stripped from American history and aren't discussed in schools.
The thing is, though, his facts were a little off. As far as we know, Edison did invent the light bulb, but a Black inventor named Lewis Latimer actually made it better and more accessible.

Even CNN called Biden on this mental lapse. I won't call it a lie. Biden was just too stupid, too mentally diminished, to know it wasn't true. Clueless maybe?

Yes, the Greenwood Tulsa "massacre" was a horrid act of racism. But what gets played down is until that abhorrible act happened, Greenwood was the up and coming place for Blacks to gain real wealth and move up into the Middle Class. Even with segregation, racism, and everything that went with it, Blacks were gaining ground in America and becoming part of the overall society.

What put the brakes on all that was government intervention giving Blacks a handout rather than a hand up.

Biden is a racist POS and an idiot. It's like voting for a White Supremist.

Yes, it was stupid of Biden to say such a thing. Another reason why people in their 70s should not be running for President.

So? You offer a form of the McNamara fallacy. That is, you argue my position is wrong because I didn't know about this guy previous to this argument. So? What does that have to do with anything, and in particular that Biden was dead, flat wrong and either lying or incompetent?

Negative. I'm guessing neither of us knew about Latimer, but we also both know Biden was both wrong and racist when he claimed Latimer invented the light bulb.

As for your position, I'm not sure what it is. Other than you think Trump is the best thing since sliced bread.

Again, both are too old to be President. Hillary was too old when she ran, so was Trump. Biden is too old and it's pretty well known he's a one-term President if he wins.

Actually I think Trump is a braggard, world-class internet troll, generally obnoxious and arrogant narcissist. But he's 100 times more effective as a leader than Biden has ever been. I'm not voting for him because I like him. I'm voting for him because the alternative is a Titanic sized disaster of biblical proportions who will wreck the economy and country.

Hillary was even worse than Biden. She is a straight out felonious criminal.

Agreed on everything about Trump except his leadership skills. He's a very poor leader and is a textbook example of how not to lead. He fails at all eleven of the Navy's Leadership Principles:

If Biden panders to blacks by stating some inaccurate accounts of history, as long as it brings in the votes, I'm OK with it.

IDGAF what Biden has to do or say or what kind of lies he has to tell to beat Trump.

It will be 100% totally justifiable because getting rid of Trump is the #1 most important thing not only in this country but the entire world.

Lattimer made a lightbulb that could actually be used and sold. Edison had an idea that did not come to fruition.
