I disagree with working from home. It should have been done long ago. Providing an office with all the costs that it entails, is wasteful. The office is about control which owners want because they do not trust employees.

The pandemic brought about a whole new business model. Bad for commercial landlords but great for certain employers.

I've always known people in certain sectors who are able to work from home at least a few days a week.

In the past, I think there was a question of productivity, and trust that employees won't slack off at home.

If corporations take the savings from lease and utilities and use it for something other than CEO pay/bonuses, this could be a boon for labor.

But they won't. They never do
