So far, the girl's aunt from Minnesota, and a man from Texas have been arrested. In fact, the foreigners in the vicinity have all been released from local police custody, because the local police must be sure they were uninvolved.

Hey, you finally found some illegal aliens, who were not arrested for the crime. In fact, the police decided it was so unlikely they were involved with the crime, that the police were fine with them being deported. The police usually try to keep criminals from fleeing the country.

The only major difference is that link only calls the aunt a "woman", whereas the link that Earl provides says that it was the victim's aunt, named Fairbanks. Both agree that the only person arrested for the crime is an American from Texas, and the local police saw no need to keep any of the illegal aliens in the vicinity in custody.

I would be surprised if they did not go after the aunt, who forced the girl to go with the Texas man, and drink alcohol. They might be trying to unwrap who did what.

As for the illegal aliens at the scene who are being deported... The police do everything they can to keep violent criminals from fleeing the country. They do not help them flee the country.
