Bill Richardson is the biggest buffon in this campaign

The guy has a serious foot in mouth syndrome. He's not ready for prime time. He's been saying some seriously silly and lame crap. Whether its claiming that he's both a Red Sox AND Yankees fan, the homosexuality is a "choice" (he later backpedaled), and being ignorant of the Iraq supplemental bill being voted on in congress, or his latest gaffe:

"Iowa, for good reason, for constitutional reasons, for reasons related to the Lord, should be the first caucus and primary," Richardson, New Mexico's governor, said at the Northwest Iowa Labor Council Picnic.

"For reasons related to the Lord"? What kind of buffoonery is this? I think I see now why closet republicans and bush-fans like this guy. He's prone to acting and talking like a buffoon. Like Bush. He's so not ready for prime time.

Would you mind providing some examples of Bushies and fundies showing support for Richardson, or are you simply talking out of your ass?

God decreed Iowa, to be the land of the Primary...

And it was so. And he saw that it was good, so he created the three day holiday and went on a bender.

LOL Holy geez, I didn't know about this. You might be onto something Cypress, he is popular with closet bush lovers and "I'm not a Republican" Republicans.

While I can't get behind his statement, I also can't see how Bill Richardson is the biggest buffoon anywhere.

He happens to be:

The Governor of New Mexico
A Former Congressman
A Former Cabinet Secretary
A Former Ambassador to the U.N.

...And the only Democratic candidate other than Kucinich and Gravel who want to leave Iraq leaving no residual forces.

Doesn't seem like the attributes of buffoonery, and certainly not a claim an Edwards supporter should be making.

As I have said before, I truly believe that our next president has to be a foreign policy stud. Everything else is secondary. We have zero margin for error. Biden and Richardson...regardless of how much they might stick their foots in their mouths from time to time, are really the only two guys running that have a chance of achieving the zero margin for error.
