Michael Gerson, a former speechwriter for George W. Bush, has written a lengthy piece in The Atlantic raking evangelical Christians who back President Donald Trump over the coals.

In particular, Gerson notes that the values that Trump espouses on a regular basis are values that have in the past been antithetical to Christian morals.

Trump’s unapologetic materialism — his equation of financial and social success with human achievement and worth — is a negation of Christian teaching,” he writes. “His tribalism and hatred for ‘the other’ stand in direct opposition to Jesus’s radical ethic of neighbor love. Trump’s strength-worship and contempt for ‘losers’ smack more of Nietzsche than of Christ.

Blessed are the proud.
Blessed are the ruthless.
Blessed are the shameless.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after fame

Imagine that a secular that worships at the alter of paganism attacks Christianity. This has been going on since the Christ declared "It is finished....." when the Christian church/kingdom of God was established on earth. Its Called the "anti-Christ" ideology.

What the Christian must remember is the demonstrable fact: The Christian is not engaged in a physical battle but a battle that has been ongoing for over 2000 years....its not a battle that is being engaged for land/territory, its not a flesh and blood battle but its a battle being fought in high places...its a battle against secularism, false religions, lies, deceit all being calibrated by the god of this earth....the Anti-Christian that exists in every realm where Jesus is not accepted as the One and Only....last hope of mankind.

"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood; but against PRINCIPALITIES, against POWERS (political), against the RULERS OF THE DARKNESS OF THIS AGE (secular paganism that worship men instead of the Creator), AGAINST SPIRITUAL HOSTS OF WICKEDNESS IN HEAVENLY PLACES." -- Eph. 6:12

Yet in all those battles engaged to date.....the TRUTH STILL STANDS UNBROKEN and is spreading around the globe like a wildfire, it will one day engulf the world in a Spiritual Kingdom of Truth. You cannot destroy that which you can't see. The seculars are Blind, they believe the Kingdom is a physical kingdom......a physical church, but fail to comprehend the kingdom is made up of Individual faiths, Truth lives in the heart of all those who believe...as long as one spark of life remains the kingdom on earth will remain...intact and whole, that which was began by ONE CARPANTERS SON and 12 friends now engulfs 2.2 Billion souls.

Rome could not destroy the kingdom of God, Russia could not, Cuba could not, but a few leftist hate filled seculars can....with the aide of a BUSHY hack seeking 15 minutes? Really? :palm:

Just how do you assume Mr. Trump came to be POTUS against 90% odds....battling the most evil, corrupt political machine to have ever existed upon earth? The Russians? Truth: Every one that profess the Christian faith....even a small faith, VOTED their conscience. In a secular world....the Christian realized they needed a secular warrior.....that would protect and defend THE CHRISTIAN right to exist and speak.

You can say what you want about Mr. Trump.....but the facts speak for themselves.....PRAYER is once again an in vogue practice, and one can say, Merry CHRISTmass in public.

bitter are the ignored......

Paula White is one of the most successful (ahem) televangelists in America.
Trump saw her on TV and thought she looked full of charisma.

Oh yeah.. She's skipped my mind..

White is a proponent of prosperity theology.[39][40] She, with other televangelists who have made millions of dollars through the prosperity gospel, was the subject of an inconclusive 2007-2011 Senate investigation, with which she refused to co-operate.[41][42][43]

Southern Baptist theologian and ethicist, Russell D. Moore said, “Paula White is a charlatan and recognized as a heretic by every orthodox Christian, of whatever tribe.”[44] Michael Horton, a professor of theology at Westminster Seminary California, wrote in early January 2017 that White represented a heretical movement, and that her then-upcoming address at President Trump's inauguration was helping to introduce heresy into mainstream public life. Horton addressed White's alleged denial of the Trinity, and the prosperity gospel's position that Christ died on the cross not for the forgiveness of humankind but in order to rescue people from financial hardship.[45]

Other allegations of heresy have emerged among conservative Christians, such as that White has denied the Trinity, partly as a result of a video shared by Christian author Erick Erickson which shows White assenting to the viewpoint that Jesus Christ was not the only son of God, in contravention of the Nicene Creed.[46][47] Erickson has stated,

"The President of the United States putting a heretic on stage who claims to believe in Jesus, but does not really believe in Jesus, risks leading others astray [...] I’d rather a Hindu pray on Inauguration Day and not risk the souls of men, than one whose heresy lures in souls promises of comfort only to damn them in eternity [...]"[48]
Connor Gaffey has drawn attention to a 2007 televised event at which White stated "Anyone who tells you to deny yourself is from Satan". Gaffey contrasts this to Jesus' words in the Gospel of St Matthew: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me."[49]

White has also been denounced by rapper and Christian pastor Shai Linne in a song titled Fal$e Teacher$.[50]

White has denied all allegations of heresy.[51][52] In a January 5, 2017 CNN interview, White responded to some of the criticism saying "I have been called a heretic, an apostate, an adulterer, a charlatan, and an addict. It has been falsely reported that I once filed for bankruptcy and -- my personal favorite -- that I deny the Trinity!" During her interview she also said in her defense "My life and my decisions have been nowhere near perfect, though nothing like what has been falsely conveyed in recent days."[53]

White has also been criticized for being introduced or claiming to have a doctoral degree, when she has no college or seminary degree.[54]
