It will be interesting to see if he runs as an Independent and if so, who he chooses as his VP candidate.

I hope he runs as he would be better than any of the current candidates. Ideally he picks up Clark, Richardson or Hagel as his running mate. If Perot can get 18% of the vote, I think Bloomberg could easily sneak in and win given the anomosity most Americans have for our DC politicians at this time.

If he wants to run he'd better do it now. An independent has to campaign in the primary season to remain on an equal footing with the partied candidates.

I honestly haven't met anyone to debate that in a long while. None of the conservatives are very religious.

I am very religious. I also can recognize a lost cause when I see it. It seems to me that all of the candidates that have a chance in the '08 election support gay marraige either by their stance or their silence. Time to move on I suppose.

bloomberg is pro gay marriage, not sure if you knew that.

yes, I knew that. I am also for gay couples being entitled to the same rights that married couples have. I just don't believe that the government should be involved in marriage at all. But if the government does remain involved, I think gay couples should be entitled to married as well. (though I would prefer the government decision to made at the state level rather than federal)

only if you are a complete unknown. If you allow people to become tired of the two parties candidates and then step in at a later date then you can come in with perceived fresh ideas etc... and you give your opponents less time to hammer at you in the press.

who does? Kusinench, and that other guy, that no one knows.

Rudy Giuliani supports "Domestic Partnerships" which would give the same rights to those who chose to go that route.

Rudy Giuliani believes marriage is between a man and a woman. He does not—and has never—supported gay marriage. But he believes in equal rights under law for all Americans. That’s why he supports domestic partnerships that provide stability for committed partners in important legal and personal matters, while preserving the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman.

That is from his site...

Hillary and Obama are against gay marriage? Really?

yup you can watch it on youtube, logo, the gay network had a debate and hillary obama and all dem candidates were there except dodd and biden who really don't have a hope in hell anyways

Yeah, but Bloomberg is only known by about 10%-20% of the populace. He needs the name recongnition. He's a billionaire, not a celebrity.
