Remember how the Lefties and Democrats say it's the Red states that get more back from the feds than they put in? Well, it's currently the Blue states facing massive budget crises in the face of prolonged shutdowns they've imposed on themselves that have severely cut their tax base. These states, already massively in debt, now are looking at looming massive budget shortfalls that will cause them to possibly default.
Their solution? Demand the federal government bail them out yet one more time for their fiscal irresponsibility...

It defies all logic, and yet here we are. On Monday, Gov. Kate Brown and four other western governors, all Democrats, leapt even further into the fray, calling on the federal government to provide $1 trillion in aid for local and state governments who’ve been walloped by bad budget news (and, unlike the federal government, have constitutional mandates to balance their budgets—we can’t borrow our way out of this, folks).

Tuesday of Democratic governors from the Midwest, Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers called for a sequel to the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act adopted by Congress in March.
“There are workers and families and farmers and small businesses that are going to need our help, and frankly, we can’t do it alone,” he said. “We’re going to need a robust federal support system to help our states and economies recover beyond the federal CARES funds that expire at the end of the year.”
Casey Katims, federal liaison for Washington Gov. Jay Inslee, said the situation there is too dire for the state to wait until President-elect Joe Biden is sworn in Jan. 20.
“We need help by the end of this year,” Katims said.
