It looks from the video that the people in the boat that swamped and sank were the idiots.
First they apparently were trying to cross the wake of the boats in the "parade." That was a stupid move and the person at the boat's helm should have known better.
Second, nobody was wearing a life jacket, and it appears nobody even tried putting one on once the boat started to sink. That's not only a requirement aboard boats in most states (having life jackets available) but a common sense one.

There was no shortage of stupidity in that flotilla.
But, they were mostly Trump supporters, so that is to be expected.

Anyway...it is a waterway where heavy wakes probably should not be found. Heavy wakes might cause one of the boats to take on water and sink.
