Bob Dylan is 70 years old!


It just doesn't seem that long ago. I loved the quote in the story:
The nature of his talent isn’t that he reinvents himself for each decade; rather, each new generation discovers and reinterprets his gifts.

That is SO true with Dylan. His works are masterpieces, you can listen to a Dylan song a thousand times, and find some new meaning or statement in his wording and presentation each time. Something you never picked up on before, or didn't consider... you feel you have 'grown as a person' or something, having heard and connected with the song. As artists go, Bob Dylan will be remembered eternally among the greatest.

You miss the point entirely, nobody not even his greatest fan would say that Mr. Zimmerman is a great singer but his voice is unique. He is also without doubt one of the greatest songwriters and poets of the 20th century.
 
He has been doing a BBC Radio 2 show for the last couple of years and his insights and breadth of knowledge about the blues and the music industry are just incredible.
 
Bob Dylan should be banned, and sent to a re-education camp before he realizes his wrongs and commits Seppeku for shaming his family and the emperor.
