I have to do the brakes on my 2011 F-150, however the brakes were metal on metal and the heat/cooling because of that has caused the bolts to become nearly impossible to break...
Anybody have any ideas other than a blowtorch that might loosen the frickin things?
Hardness 10? On the MOH's scale?Been there, done that.
Lots of WD-40 soaked overnight if you don't have an impact wrench, use the longest breaker bar you have and put a jack under the end of the bar and use the weight of the truck to apply the torque as you raise the jack. If they still won't break apply torch heat while under torque from the jack. Brake bolts are usually hardness 10 so don't worry about shearing them off, they should be able to take it.
Yea! Go Ford. My sister works at the Lima engine plant where they build the F-150 engines.I have to do the brakes on my 2011 F-150, however the brakes were metal on metal and the heat/cooling because of that has caused the bolts to become nearly impossible to break...

Others have money and, "faith".
someday maybe you can have a car too........
yes we do....
Think so?
Maybe I could even have a law office in my garage, stocked with Jesus juice, if I wanted.

I doubt it.......I see no evidence you could handle the work load in law school......Think so?

Your car is only as safe as how hungover your trusted brake mechanic was when you paid him too much to do a simple job.
I guess if you are incompetent and have no idea how to do simple mechanical repairs or maintenance on your car, then you must have faith in those who claim they care in exchange for your cash.
I have a lot of faith in the guy who does my brakes. I know he cares that it is done correctly and I know he doesn't cut any corners or rush a job to get more commissions in that day..
He is I.
Here is the company you have "faith " in.
