Posted by god 19 hours ago Legalization
http://www.mapinc.org — Summit Daily News, 03 Nov 2009 - BRECKENRIDGE - Breckenridge residents voted overwhelmingly Tuesday to decriminalize possession of small amounts of marijuana and paraphernalia Tuesday under town law. In early returns, some 72 percent of voters approved the measure. The vote means that, effective Jan. 1, people 21 and up in Breckenridge will be able to legally possess one ounce or less of the drug.

commerce clause, supremacy clause, necessary and proper clause, controlled substances act, total usurpation of power.

tell us, will breckenridge pay for your defense fund in a federal court if you're prosecuted?

WOW, A GED WANNA BE LAWYER.
Tell me would anyone pay you to even be a paralegal?

The fact that the city police won't do anything is huge, but I'm sure your diversion is appreciated by asshat.

yet again, you refuse to see the forest for the trees. :palm:

it's great that your local law enforcement aren't going to arrest you for it, but that doesn't stop the feds. what happens then?

you seem to like to ignore the fact that I am mostly on your side with this, and my 'wanna be lawyer' credentials not withstanding, you KNOW that what I speak is true. I don't think the feds have any constitutional authority whatsoever to even consider regulating the growth and use of a naturally occurring weed in this country, but I'm not anybody in a position of power, so I ask you, will the local government pay for your defense if the feds prosecute you for possession?

Your so full of yourself because you learned a few long words it's coming out of your ears.

Do feds make a practice of targeting individuals with less than an ounce of Jah's herb on thier person?
Answer, mostly no

Feds are going after mexican cartels growing in Cali national forrest etc.

Thousands of douchbag cities like new orleans that have thousands of what are essentially trumped up mistomeanor cases are soon going to quit flushing that money down the toilet.
Though I'm sure you'll come back with your commerce clause, your 10th grade civics teacher would be proud.

thanks for the link and the info.
NYC is full of NAZI like police officers and politicians.
I didn't know it was legal there. NYC citizens should kick those ghestapo mutha fuckers out. That stinks to high heaven.
La has a medical law on the books to that has been totally ignored.

Second city in CO to do this, of course in Denver the Mayor decided to simply tell the cops to enforce state laws...

you're welcome. again, understand that I don't believe the feds have any authority to regulate MJ period. Until we can enforce those particular limits on them, they'll do what they want.

topspin, you're right that the feds probably won't come after somone for less than ounce, however, sty is correct that the feds have the power to come after someone in CO.

you just look stupid dissing his understanding of the law
