In 2018, Sanders gave less than 5% of his income to charity (even that small amount, I suspect is mostly bogus). That's mighty tight for a Socialist, don't you think? HAHA moment: The Republicans capped state and local tax deductions to $10,000, this cost Sanders about $55,000 in itemized deductions. Most of his income is from book royalties.
In 2017, Sanders gave about 3% of his income to charity. His state and local tax deduction was over 216,000 (far more than $10,000 currently allowed)
I skipped to 2009, his earliest release. He did his tax return by himself, by hand, in spite of being ubber-rich! He gave under 1%, to charity and received no royalties. Just by glancing at his return, I found a mistake. He has SS benefits of $27,594 and reported the full amount as taxable. Only $22,075 should have been taxed. I assume the IRS or himself corrected this, and that the tax returns provided by Sanders aren't the final versions, which shows we can't trust the tax returns Sanders has released.
