Burnie Sanders tax returns

In 2018, Sanders gave less than 5% of his income to charity (even that small amount, I suspect is mostly bogus). That's mighty tight for a Socialist, don't you think? HAHA moment: The Republicans capped state and local tax deductions to $10,000, this cost Sanders about $55,000 in itemized deductions. Most of his income is from book royalties.

In 2017, Sanders gave about 3% of his income to charity. His state and local tax deduction was over 216,000 (far more than $10,000 currently allowed)

I skipped to 2009, his earliest release. He did his tax return by himself, by hand, in spite of being ubber-rich! He gave under 1%, to charity and received no royalties. Just by glancing at his return, I found a mistake. He has SS benefits of $27,594 and reported the full amount as taxable. Only $22,075 should have been taxed. I assume the IRS or himself corrected this, and that the tax returns provided by Sanders aren't the final versions, which shows we can't trust the tax returns Sanders has released.

What his tax returns show me, besides being quite stingy in charitable donations (given that I, as a rather poor person, currently give about 9% of my income just to my church), is that he is also part of the 1% that he keeps railing on about. He wants them to pay more in taxes, yet HE doesn't pay any more than he needs to (less his oversight of filing errors). He ought to lead by example and send the IRS a bunch more money than he is compelled to do simply out of the goodness of his heart... Then, maybe I'd take his mantras a bit more seriously...

Did he check the box and indicate how much more he was going to send to the Federal Government to help them balance the budget?

bernie just became a millionaire due to his book. We shall see in the future what he does for charity. We know Trump stole from his foundation, it was shut down and he will face legal problems from his actions.

Speculate much?

:dunno:

He said this, TD:

"I consider paying more in taxes as my income rose to be both an obligation and an investment in our country."

Yet there's no indication that he overpaid his taxes personally, is there, TD?

Just the mere fact a Trumpkin would actually challenge anyone else's taxes is beyond belief

They worship a guy who from all indications doesn't pay taxes, you know, "it makes me smart," and lies about not releasing his tax returns, and now they are attacking another person over the tax they paid and charity contributions? For real?

The hypocrisy never ends

Yup. His book helped him out quite a bit there... Maybe he should've donated profits from his book to charity instead of becoming part of the 1% he constantly rails against??

We shall see in the future what he does for charity.
Over the last 10 years at the very least (I'm willing to bet his whole life though), he seems to have been rather ungenerous in terms of charity. I highly doubt he is going to become more charitable now, but we'll see I guess...

We know Trump stole from his foundation, it was shut down and he will face legal problems from his actions.
We'll see...

Not that I have seen, either... He seems to talk a big game, but not back it up with any actions of his own... Interesting...

No, it's not. Bernie decided to release his returns, so he is open to scrutiny concerning what he released. Nothing was compelling Bernie to do so, but he chose to do so anyway...

They worship a guy
I don't worship any man; I only worship the Christian God.

who from all indications doesn't pay taxes,
What about Rachel Madcow's big "bombshell", which turned out to be a complete dud for her? She had one year of his returns and that showed that he paid taxes...

you know, "it makes me smart," and lies about not releasing his tax returns,
Yes, he said initially that he'd release them, but has since changed his mind. Nothing is compelling him to release his tax returns. It is not a requirement for POTUS...

and now they are attacking another person over the tax they paid and charity contributions? For real?
Yes, I am. Bernie is fair game, since he decided to release his tax returns. He wasn't compelled to release them either, but he decided to anyway... If he wouldn't have released them, I wouldn't have had any criticisms about them, and they wouldn't have been my business... but he decided to release them...

The hypocrisy never ends
Not hypocrisy at all. Tax returns are a private matter, and don't need to be released to be POTUS... I never asked for Bernie's returns, but he willingly provided them to me, so now they are my business, since he allowed them to be my business...

Not at all, as I said before, it is just like a Bernie Madoff apologist labeling another a thief

Nope. Try again.

Bernie didn't have to make his returns public. I never asked him to do so. Yet, he did, so they are now my business.

Trump hasn't made his public, so they are not my business...

What do Trump's Tax Returns look like?

What is hard to believe is how someone so mentally retarded can even sign onto the internet without help. Does your mom sign you on when you are let out of your padded cell?

There you go with the moron strawmen and lies again. You leftist assholes can't seem to help yourselves.

The hypocrisy never ends

Ironic; your stupidity and dishonesty have no end.
