Bush 'planted fake news stories on American TV'

hmm a maximum fine of $32,500. just a drop in the bucket of the cost of doing "business".....crapola maximus.

I think the American people have finnally figured it out. The MSM is realising the jig is up too. If they wish to retain viewers and their viability in the market they will have to stop this shit or face some very different waters in monoply laws and enforcement. I hope its come to late for them. We need to stop this consolidation of the media market and reverse it.

I did a lot of writing about this at one point. This is unprecedented in the history of the US, by the way. The only thing close was something Reagan did in the late 80s, and that was by accident.

It is in violation of anti-propaganda laws. Also, you should see how much the Administration is paying ad firms for this.

:rofl2:

Whats up, can't find any good news on Obama so you are replying to posts from 7 years ago to relive the old liberals glory of blaming Bush for everything? It's OK to condem Obama for being a complete failure.

The report, by the non-profit group Centre for Media and Democracy, found that over a 10-month period at least 77 television stations were making use of the faux news broadcasts, known as Video News Releases (VNRs). Not one told viewers who had produced the items.

"We know we only had partial access to these VNRs and yet we found 77 stations using them," said Diana Farsetta, one of the group's researchers. "I would say it's pretty extraordinary. The picture we found was much worse than we expected going into the investigation in terms of just how widely these get played and how frequently these pre-packaged segments are put on the air."
