Bush would take bin Laden hunt into Pakistan

If good intelligence indicated Osama bin Laden was hiding in Pakistan, the U.S. would send troops in after him, President Bush said. Pakistani President Gen. Pervez Musharraf told reporters he would disapprove of such a move, saying, "We wouldn't like to allow that at all. We will do it ourselves.

It would be a bad idea to piss off Musharraf or to be the cause of his leadership to be overthrown.....we need him more than he needs us....
 
Good point Bravo, I don't think his leadership is all that stable anyway. and remember they already have the bomb...

Ah, yes, General Musharrif, the democratically appointed dictator of Pakistan, who has promised several times that he would allow elections, only to decided against it at the last or next to last minute when it became apparent that he would not be re-appointed by the people.

Sure is nice to see how important Democracy really is to Bush isn't it. Musharrif got $80 Billion worth of American taxpayer dollars for his willingness to aid in the WOT. Bush certainly knows how to prop up failing regimes or is it buy friends, whatever it is, he apparently did it in the case of Pakistan where democracy just doesn't seem to be a high priority for him.
 
All we would have to do is go in and kill obl then say the paks did it. mosharif saves face and we accomplish what we want.

I still think he's hiding out in iran.
