Pretty surprising. (For those who don’t read the tweet it said first time a raising the minimum wage ballot measure has failed in any state since 1996.)

Reading more about this I'm shocked this passed (now granted not by a lot). But this is blue California we are talking about. In reading some of the stories people actually spoke about it being inflationary (similar to the $20 minimum wage for fast food workers). Even Californians can reach a point where the high cost of living is deemed too much.
