Can anyone explain how/why Romney would be better than Obama?

(from my perspective)

- Judicial Appointments
- More likely to keep taxes down
- Liberals will cry their eyes out, threaten to leave to canada, a whole generation of idealistic young people will have their dreams crushed
- Would be hilarious for Obama to be a one term president after all the hype he got from 2004-till now

there are definitely some racist republicans, I will give you that, but please don't marginalize another persons belief system down to simple race issues just because you disagree with them. It's intellectually lazy, and it completely ignores all the legitimate reasons (again, that you may disagree with, but that doesn't mean they aren't legitimate) that one may not want to vote for obama.

I would slash the military budget by 75% to start.

homeland security - eliminate
international assitance - eliminate
health and human services probably can cut that by 30%
slash housing and urban development. That's just money to shitholes where the shitholes stay shitholes. Total waste

Reduce social security by half,
Reduce medicare/medicaid by half

Slashing the military budget by 75%, and SS and medicare/medicaid reduces spending by already more than 30%, then some of the other things I listed saves us about another 130 billion dollars.

Would use some of the savings and bump up education spending slightly.

You seem to be a little slow. I clearly understood the implication in your last comment, namely, that my cuts would not create jobs. I responded by not caring. As the jobs lost would be bureaucratic.

It's called progress son, sometimes you have to lose jobs to move forward in this world. When industrialized robotics were invented, that put people out of work. The world is a better place. So it goes.

imo, you are wrong - what bothers me most about rummy is that i do not know what he really stands for

what will you and your conservative friends do if obama wins? especially if he wins a majority in both houses of congress (a super majority in the senate)
