Can Heterosexuality be Reversed?

My thoughts turned to something that would be a lot more useful. Can heterosexuality be reversed?

Just think - it would help with overpopulation; while gays/lesbians do have kids, they don't tend to join the "quiverfull" movement or its ilk and have lots of them.

Same sex marriage would be approved overwhelmingly, removing that divisive issue from the public discourse.

While I hate to stereotype, I think we'd notice a nice uptick in stylish dressing and the arts. And there would be even more women who are into sports and who enjoy having muscles. (I apologize for the stereotypes in that sentence; I know they are overbroad and there are plenty of gays who dress poorly and plenty of lesbians who worry about breaking a nail)

We'd no longer be subjected to stories about anti-gay politicians being found soliciting sex from someone of their same gender. That hypocrisy would be gone.

Michelle Bachman's husband could embrace his true self and open up clinics working on getting people to convert from heterosexuality to homosexuality.

Gay bashing would decrease; and I don't think gay men are much into straight bashing, so violence overall should decrease.

I'm sure there are other advantages I just can't think of at the moment.

So I think it's time to start reversing heterosexuality; it would be a great service to all of those afflicted.

Its pretty hard to change nature, genetics and the natural order of every living and reproducing thing on earth...

How is it any different for homosexuality?

You Mommy and/or Daddy should have explained the birds and bees to you before they bought you a PC...
You know, the procreation of just about all living things on the planet....nature ?

Incidenly, gays and lesbians do naturally have kids, they have others people kids

Nova, heterosexuality obviously ISN'T "the natural order of every living and reproducing thing on earth." Because if it was, we would have no LGBTQs. And it's not just humans - there are animals that are attracted to the same gender as well.

I agree, it's a larger task to convert all heterosexuals as there are more of them. But as we convert them, they can convert others, and the task will get easier.

Those animals don't become extinct do they ?....why is that ?....because the ones that are 'attracted' to the same gender are natures 'deviates', just as in the
human population....and we all except that....
Even some trees and flowers and vegetables need pollination to bear fruit ... its natural, its nature, its what is genetically intended to exist.

No ones trying to stop you from eating at the Y.... thats your business, why try to force it on everyone else that isn't really interested. I certainly don't care
how you live your life as long as it doesn't have some negative effect on mine.

So your position is that it's possible to change sexual orientation, but only that of homosexuals, because they choose not to reproduce?

Great. Then I assume you are also against efforts to convert gays and lesbians!

The point of this thread was to point out how ridiculous the "can homosexuality be reversed" thread is.

LOL

I never thought so, but reading your posts, maybe!

Poor Bravo..he's such an ignoramus.

Bravo * Dicks don't fall off gay men (THANK JESUS!) and pussies don't close up on gay women. They can still stick one in the other and make babies. Last I looked it doesn't take a Certificate of Heterosexuality to do that. Nor love. Just a desire to procreate, which is in all of us, not just bigots like you.

Well to answer this question puts those who oppose gay rights into a difficult situation as it demonstrates their inconsistant and illogical point of view on the issue. Here are two facts we know about sexuality. #1. All sexuality (i.e. sexual behavior) is natural and #2. All sexuality is learned behavior.

Those who oppose gay rights try to make the irrational and contradictory argument that homosexuality is not natural (which is clearly wrong) and that it can be unlearned.

This notion that something can be "unlearned" is irrational. Particularly something as hard wired as sexuality. Can you unlearn the language you speak? Can you unlearn your ability to read? Can you unlearn basic math? Can you unlearn the social heirarchy of your family and society?

Obviously those are rhetorical questions. So though I appreciate the satire of the OP this notion that those who oppose gay rights have that gay folk can "unlearn" their behavier is just another fine example of how people in this country like to bullshit themselves.

The point of this thread was to point out how ridiculous the "can homosexuality be reversed" thread is.

And it is a ridiculous thread....there is no reason to try to change anyone....a 'deviate' is a deviate ..... everyone tolerates them but we don't have to coddle them or
tell them they are the norm in the world....they are the exceptions to the norm the nature created...

Homo 'rights' have absolutely nothing to do with sexual acts or behavior....no one is looking through the walls of homes to police what sexual acts are being
practiced by the adults that reside there...no one gives a shit what Howey is doing in the closet or out, or who he is doing it with....

Your list or rhetorical questions is nothing more than a list of strawmen.......

Do you feel the same about left-handed people? or blondes? should we discriminate against them? Make them change to right handedness or dye their hair? We don't call them deviant. We don't keep them from marrying. We don't discriminate against them in federal laws. Or state laws.

Nature has a wide scope of "normal". She is not as limited as some conservatives are. Normal? yes, it is normal to have a percentage of the population be lesbian/gay/bisexual.

You may not like it. But nature doesn't care about that.

Trees, flowers and vegetables... lol just stfu. You don't know a fucking thing about nature.,

So if all sexuality is learned, explain the paedophile sexuality?
