Can someone explain the Bud Light boycott to me?

Apparently, they used a transgender in one of their ads or something, which caused snowflakes like Kid Rock to break out his AR and shoot up a bunch of Bud Light cases in protest, and artists like Travis Tritt to call for a boycott.

Are transgenders criminals or something? Don't they have the same citizenship status as everyone else?

If the thing is that it's a "sin" or something like that, are we going to start calling for boycotts of anything endorsed by adulterers or liars? And why hasn't any artist like that called for a boycott of the church over the latest, unbelievably staggering abuse scandal?

Any ideas are welcome.

It's akin to a fashion statement. Those boycotting Budweiser as a result of their decision to use a trans as spokesperson for Bud Light don't like the social and fashion statement that goes with that decision. That should be obvious. It's no different than choosing clothing, the car you drive, the neighborhood you live in, etc. All those things say something about you and who you are.

It follows that Kid Rock, Travis Tritt, and the like were consumers of Bud Light, and I would assume many of their fans are. Thus, if they and their fans don't like the new image portrayed by Budweiser's marketing choices, they have reacted to it. It doesn't make transgenders criminals or anything, but rather like any celebrity or public image, they represent certain views and positions, ones that those boycotting this product disagree with obviously.

I'm sure if some celebrity or artist found their church and religion suddenly doing things they disliked and disagreed with, they too would boycott or quit the religion for the same reasons.

So all the RWNJs who were shitting their Depends over the Chik-Fil-A boycott were anti-American idiots? Or don't boycotts work both ways anymore, Terry?

TL;DR

Shortened version: Retarded men all of sudden became TERFs, buying Bud Light just to video themselves pour them in sinks or shooting them to show em.

I appreciate that explanation - but if that's the case, it's lame.

If they personally don't want to associate, that's fine. But boycotts (which I'm generally opposed to anyway, with some exceptions) are vindictive actions, usually reserved for companies & individuals who are doing something that is actually wrong, and engaging in behaviors that the boycott is established to change.

Rock & Tritt can just stop drinking the beer, and having the company sponsor their tours. Calling for a more mass boycott is just snowflake stuff, imo.

Don’t know, but anyone who drinks Bud Light should be boycotted, as the Irish call it, piss beer, with zero redeeming qualities

Sure they do. When the Right boycotts something the Left gets all hair-on-fire. When the Left boycotts something the Right shits themselves with disgust and rage. What's new about that?

And Kid Rock, a REAL 'MERICAN is shooting Bud Light cans with his semiautomatic rifle.

These people are complete morons.

It's my go-to at a ballgame. It's a good, light summer beer & good for cutting calories when I'm eating a bunch of junk like hot dogs. It's gotta be ice cold, though.

The video is insane.

I think his tour is called the "no snowflakes" tour, or something like that. He certainly seems triggered like a classic snowflake in the vid.

Perhaps you'll understand this...

But just as likely you won't...

That’s their choice. The day that I depend on the Kid Rocks, Travis Tritts, or anyone else possessing celebrity status, it’s time to cash it in. Much ado about nothing. I’m sure Bud thought this all through before they made their decision.

If one should ever boycott Budweiser, it should be because their beer is on the level of horse piss.

Bud Lite - the drag queen of beers...

As long as you, like I do, recognize they are idiots fueled by emotion, not logic, then we're in agreement.

The boycott of Chic-Fil-A by the leftists was the best thing that ever happened to them. The popularity of the chain expanded exponentially.
