Capitalism Uses Science In It's Assault On Consumers

Diversity Makes Greatness
An old Chinese wisdom says you should try to eat 30 different things each day for good health.

I like my fruit in the morning. It's not always possible to find wide varieties of fresh fruit, even though capitalism has done it's best to deliver them to us from all over the world, at great expense of energy. So I normally buy and consume dried fruit. But many dried fruits have 'added sugars.' Cranberries are an extreme example of that.

Here is an ingredients label:

"Calories .... 140

Total sugars ... 28g

Added sugars ... 26g"

Do ya see what's going on there?

Most of the sugar in dried cranberries is actually added by the capitalists.

I did a little 'science' experiment.

I took some dried cranberries, pried them apart (many stuck together) put them in a bowl, added enough water to submerge them, and waited.

After a while I tasted the sickly brown looking water.

It tasted super sweet, like corn syrup.

Then I tasted the cranberries. Wow! their actual flavor, without the added sugar was very nice.

Cranberries have antioxidants which help to promote a strong immune system. They also contain many other things which are good for you. They also contain some things which may present health problems for certain individuals. You may want some cranberries in your diet, but not too much:

Cranberry health aspects

Science helps us understand these things. Science also helps capitalists figure out that people will buy more cranberries if they sweeten the taste with corn syrup. Corn syrup is not really very good for you. But capitalists don't always care about your health. They are primarily concerned with their wealth.

It must have taken quite a bit of science to figure out how to mass-market cranberries. If you get a habit of eating lots of yummy sugary cranberries, you will find that this adds to unhealthy weight gain.

This is just one teensy example of a single product which has been modified by capitalists using science to screw over consumers.

Americans are probably the fattest and unhealthiest people on the planet. Our lifespan is actually in decline. We've stopped extending the number of years we live, and those born now can expect to live shorter lives than those born just a few years ago because of it. Unhealthy weight gain leads to the USA having the most expensive health care on the planet. One of the reasons health care costs so much is because we are so unhealthy!

No problem. Other capitalists use extraordinary science to study and learn how to deal with our many self-imposed health issues. Our for-profit medical industry seeks to generate great wealth trying to keep up with the problems created by vulture capitalism.

We will be far better off when we build a much larger and more powerful government to properly regulate capitalism.

Capitalism is a wonderful engine of ingenuity and creativity, but like any powerful engine, it requires control and regulation. Nobody builds a powerful engine and just let's it run full bore without any controls because it would BLOW UP!

Capitalism + Big Government + Proper and Stringent Regulation = A Great Life and a Great Society.

Don't let anybody tell you regulation is a bad thing. It is only a bad thing when it is abused by big money, selfish science, and government corruption to assault consumers and wrest away their wealth with no concern for their well being.

Humans are social creatures. We live in a collective. It is VERY foolish to deny that and pretend that the freedom to get screwed and to screw over others is more valuable than the benefit of living in a well organized society that uses science in a socially beneficial way.

One of the beauties of capitalism is the purchasing power of volume buying. We all know that by amping up the volume of items acquired, the price goes down.

Government works the same way. When we amp up the size of government, and we use science in a positive way to ensure that capitalists are being truly fair and trying to deliver a good safe product at the lowest price, then we get the most bang for our tax dollars. Sometimes, society paying more taxes and building a more efficient government will yield more benefit than if taxes were cut to the lowest possible level and government minimized, to trust only in capitalists.

That is because we know capitalists do not always have our best interests at heart. They do not exist to look out for your concerns. Government does.

The only reason our government gets a bad rap is not because government itself is inherently bad. It is because of government corruption. If big money just stayed the hell out of government we could be able to see that. There is no way on this still somewhat green Earth that capitalists are in any position to be making any judgement on government when they spend so much money trying to control it!

How hypocritical is it for them to say: "Look how bad the government I paid for is! You should trust me instead."

screw Chinese yin and yang logic. screw the new American logic following Chinese philosophies. Get real, life only works as active reproductions are timed apart now as a food chain in this atmosphere.

Stop living life as if there are only two sides or two halves to any channelled one track narrative working a society like spokes of a wheel carrying reproductions through relative time semantics.

Scientific studies of society have been used by capitalists to exploit workers and consumers.

Wealth-seeking capitalists seek to

a) Minimize the cost of labor by keep wages as low as possible,

b) Maximize profit by selling as much product as possible.

Wealth-seeking capitalists do not want the unemployment rate to be low. It is more profitable for them if the unemployment rate is high. That way workers are more desperate and less likely to make trouble. They will accept lower wages and shut up about it. And they are less likely to organize.

Ever wonder why so many things fail as soon as the warranty expires?

They use science to figure out how to make products which will barely outlast the warranty period.

They do it on purpose.

It is called planned obsolescence.

This is an example of capitalism not serving society, but serving the capitalists.

We end up throwing more things away, impacting landfills, using more energy to cart it all away and cover it up, and depleting natural resources in the process.

Do they care?

Of course!

They care about getting as rich as possible and nothing else.

why is rationed statistical averaging a couple of thousand people factually define hundreds of millions living at the same time called physical science? More like metaphysical possibilities rather than discovering actual way life separates reproductions in plain sight all the time people demand change when nothing stays the same except event horizons that show cycles overlapping.

The chemical industry creates all kinds of new compounds and new uses for existing chemicals on a regular basis. These things are used in products with very little testing. Consumers are generally not warned of possible dangers. Example: After Hurricane Katrina many displaced people were housed in FEMA trailers. After a while they began to get sick. Turns out the particle board and other products used inside travel trailers contains a lot of formaldehyde. It was making people sick.

How could that happen?

Because no testing or warnings were required.

The chemical industry is very powerful. They 'went to school' on what happened to big tobacco. Rather than make sure what they are doing is safe for the public (that wasn't the lesson they learned,) they invested lots of money in government corruption to make sure there was never any legislation requiring them to get any sort of approvals for new chemicals, compounds, or uses of existing chemicals and compounds in new ways, which might expose consumers to new dangers.

It is well known that the efforts of a group of people can be greater than the sum of their individual efforts.

One of the reasons America is so great is the people, working together in a coordinated and organized way.

America is one large group of people, and our government is the way we are organized as one people.

Our challenge is to create that greatest government possible. That is how we make a great nation.

your worldview is a fascist hellscape.

"Chemical substances are part of our daily lives. They are found everywhere from the cleaning detergents we use to the clothes we wear and our personal electronics. The companies that produce these chemicals, some of which can be hazardous and have a negative impact on human health and the environment, are exposed to several risks and are highly regulated.

Sustainalytics

We have nothing like this in the USA.
