I did and responded to the video

then this person LIED about me

slandered me


and trashed my beliefs


but refused to respond to my heart felt answer

if that is the JW religion than ugh

We don't get that over here, have far too many of those type of TV programmes already. It sounds like a rip off of Grand Designs which has been running on TV over here for many years.

Ehhh not really. It’s called “fixer upper” for a reason. To be honest Grand Design is pretty much a rip off of the show that started them all and still sets the bench mark. This Old House.

Now I love Kevin McCloud as an actor but he’s an incredibly poor substitute for Bob Villa and Norm Abram. Given grand design has higher production value, given the technology advances, but in terms of content you can learn more from one episode of This Old House than all the episodes of Grand Design put together. Grand Design, as a Home Improvement show, is just a flattering and glossy, shiny, shiny imitation of This Old House.

To be fair Grand Design is meant to entertain and titillate and not to educate and inform. In that respect Grand Design isn’t nearly of the caliber of content as This Old House. Not even close but it is...shall we say...very stylish if not of the same caliber as its American predecessor.

Oh well if you want to go back to the days of steam TV then you had Barry Bucknell.

In the late 1950’s Barry began presenting the BBC TV programme ‘Barry Bucknell’s Do It Yourself'. That is the true grandaddy of all those shows since!!
