Maniac crossed the center line on a 2-lane road. We are told "unknown reasons" but I bet a million bucks it was a text-driver. Media always covers up highway homicide even though it is far more common than gun homicide. Only gun deaths count.

march 16 2022 Nine people, including six students and their golf coach, were killed when a van carrying members of a New Mexico university's golf teams collided with a pickup truck Tuesday night, law enforcement and university officials confirmed.

Students from the University of the Southwest women's and men's golf teams were returning home from a tournament when a pickup truck crossed the center line of a two-lane road in West Texas "for unknown reasons" and struck their van head-on, the Texas Department of Public Safety said in statement.

Both vehicles caught fire, the department said.

The university confirmed head coach Tyler James was killed in the collision. Both the driver and the passenger of the pickup truck also died, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

I'm stunned. GMA just mentioned this story on national news. Didn't say much - just talked about how all the victims were wonderful people loved by all . We hear that crap all the time. Do bad people ever die?

That's considered a "mass murder" isn't it? Cars kill people!!!! How many more must die before we get cars off the streets???!!! I read that there are 289 million cars on the road. We clearly have too many cars. Fewer cars fewer mass murders right?

We don't have to get rid cars but we do have to lower speed limits and greatly increase penalties for DWI and DWT and other driving offenses.

We've seen three stories on consecutive days on NBC Nightly News about this horrible accident. Tonight's story said that the driver who hit the team bus was only 13 and died in the wreck, along with his father. Oh, and CNN has a story on it, too.

Fox did a story about it and so did ABC nightly news. BTW the kid that was driving the truck was only 13 and a front wheel tire blew before the wreck.

This story is all over the news, of course. The Text Message Killer has given us a splendid display of Right Wing Martyr Syndrome.
