A magnatude 9 earthquake on the west coast would cause untold millions of deaths and billions in damages. There is no evacuation from the tsunami that would be produced by that sort of force. Unless you lived in, or very close to, the Rockies, you are going to die.

The upside is there would be oceanfront property for sale in Nevada.
