......maybe faster than we thought they would...

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX), who has been rumored as being considered to replace Janet Napolitano to head the Department of Homeland Security, used some very strange language earlier this week to characterize a sentiment for a clean resolution to end the government shutdown. She labeled it a form of "martial law."

"It's something called a continuing resolution, but it's a bill that you put on the floor that has been passed already by Republicans and Democrats in the United States Senate....that we could vote on today," Lee said.

"We have martial law -- what that means -- and my colleagues know what it means -- is that you can put a bill on in just minutes," she added.

NSA, TSA, CBP, CSS, EPA, DHS, ATF.....

The online rumors are true, sort of. The federal government is buying up huge quantities of ammunition -- 1.6 billion rounds to be precise.

Um ... she isn't talking about imposing martial law on the country, she's talking about a House rule that allows a bill to be passed on the same day it's introduced.

I'm guessing there was no such outrage on the right when Boehner and company used the same rule in 2011:

Rep. James McGovern, Massachusetts Democrat, was particularly vocal and went after the same day rule that was passed out of the committee.

“We’ve gone from embracing an open rule, to a closed rule now a Martial law rule. You’re shutting down the process. I would suggest to you that the problem is not within the House of Representatives here,” he said.”The problem is your leadership needs to be more flexible on working with a deal with the president and the Senate. And I would say this with enthusiasm. You are responsible for putting us in this position and moving this economy to a brink where quite frankly none of us want to be.”

ROFL!

Dude -- you bold and underline Martial Law in the same post where you repeat the meme about the government stockpiling ammo.

What's the fucking point of the OP if it isn't to imply that real martial law is in the works?

Or were you simply posting ambiguous bullshit so you could deny your intent when called on it?

BTW, love the racist comments at your source.

Those are your people -- you own them. :(
