Chili cheese fries -a globalist conspiracy!?

FUCK THE POLICE

911 EVERY DAY
Let's think about it, guys. This shit has potatoes from Ireland, Chili from Mexico, and cheese from Europe. It's a globalist conspiracy to make us buy from other nations and have them steal our jobs, all while the fat cats take over the world with their New World Order! This is so obvious if you don't understand it you're a moron.

I don't want no foreign food, damn it! I want plain old American food made by plain old Americans (and no, I don't mean those damn Indians! Americans were here forever!) Chili Cheese fries will destroy us.

I am alergic to male bovine excrement.

It does not matter anyway the hollow earth types (faeries and Abraham) are going to climb out and whip our butts anyway. Or was it some moon going to crash into us ???

I actually do not espouse autarky. I merely object to goods produced with labor standards so atrociously low that for our workers to compete they too would have to accept those standards. But alas, reducing humanity to slaves is precisely the NWO goal, and why China, with their retrograde concept of human rights, is so crucial to the globalist fascist conspiracy.

The moon doesn't exist. I have secretly leaked government tapes downloaded from the internet to prove this.

That is true WM it is actually an alien grade school classroom/spaceship observing us to decide if they need to end their science project on this planet.
I think we are at about a D- right now....

Not a fan of capitalism then?

I have been having trouble figuring our where AHZ's line is on that too AnyOld....

Probably looks like a 2 yr olds backtrack around the house....

Since there is no central economic regulatory agency between nations - like there is between US states - complete free trade will lead to nations competing with each other by giving out massive subsidies on the backs of the people and lowering labour regulations. After all, slavery is a comparative advantage.

That was serious.

Since a central regulatory agency would be impractical, the only real solution is to include in trade packages labour standards, and to lower trade with nations that deal out humongous corporate welfare and have low labour standards.

Well, we already really see some of that between US states. States have to compete with each other by giving out corporate welfare to corporations - they therefore effectively force every one of their citizens to work for the corporation for a period of their time every year. The only real way to stop that would be for the federal government to prevent such deals, although people like Damo would disagree with that since it decreases state power. So coporate welfare will always exist between states - let's just not increase it between nations.

Capitalism? You mean free market. There is a difference. A Capatalistic Government actually gives money to businesses, the free market has no restraint on the action of the business. The two are not interchangeable.

but the results on labor are pretty much the same Damo.
Not really. In a capatalistic scenario the government of the US gives money to sugarcane growers in the US so that they can sell at a lower cost to the consumer even though it costs more to grow in the US than in Cuba.

This allows them to continue paying their growers enough to make a living without "slavery". The consumer gets the sugar nice and cheaply...

In a free market scenario, the sugar growers C&H would be out of business because they wouldn't be able to compete with the Cuban growers at all, unless they somehow got some "slaves".

The two do not equate.

Umm are you confusing socialism in there a bit ?

I believe that business should occur within a moral framework. And additionally, I believe that there are other concerns to factor in to sourcing decisions besides low cost. other effects, such as the impact on the nations security situation and standard of living, should be considered as well.

Nope. In Socialism the government owns the company and sells by a "set price" regardless of market condition. Lines for toilet paper in the USSR come to mind here.

In other words you are a socialist!
At least that is what I always got called for talking that way.
