Pretty scary, but mostly for Chile and surrounding areas. The NOAA report says that although water might be higher no damage is expected in Hawaii, to everyone's relief.

I didn't see anything about the Galapagos Islands. Could they be at risk or might they be protected by that large land mass on the northwest corner of the continent?
