WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Religious conservative leader James Dobson will sit out the 2008 presidential election if former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani is the Republican presidential nominee, he wrote Thursday in an online column.

In a piece published on the conservative Web site WorldNetDaily, Dobson wrote that Giuliani's support for abortion rights and civil unions for homosexuals, as well as the former mayor's two divorces, were a deal-breaker for him.

"I cannot, and will not, vote for Rudy Giuliani in 2008. It is an irrevocable decision," he wrote.

I seem to recall certain persons on the far right objecting to something called a "litmus test" at one point. At several points, in fact.

;)

I assume that Sam Brownback is Dobby's favored candidate. He wants to force women who are raped and impregnated, to give birth.

He isn't going to get the nomination. Personally, I now have more interest in Giuliani because of this. It seems that when Darla and Dobson agree on a candidate, I should take a second look.

If Rudy is ever the nominee, this is the picture that will be up in every Democratic TV Ad:

Rudy, the Drag Queen. That picture alone will probably cause ten million theocratic voters in the deep south stay home on election day.

Now watch Giuliani in drag making out with Donald Trump (really).

My, my, my. This will not go over well in the deep south, or amongst the theorcratic base. They're going to stay home on election day, rather than vote for this guy, once these are up and running in TV ads...

I can't see someone with Libertarian leanings liking Rudy, but maybe I'm wrong. I'm taking a second look at him too. I just watched that video Cypress put up of him and Trump, and you know, I just picture a democratic nominee for President in that video, and I know, as everyone here knows, what the repugs would do to him.

I have always liked the idea of the bible belt squirming like they had a hotfoot in hell, with Rudy on top of the ticket. I just never believed they'd go for him, but this guy is still on top of the heap, so we might get him.

He also wrote of John McCain earlier.

What's his problem with McCain? Rudy's gotta make McCain look good to one of those religious guys. He's never appeared in drag, he's on very friendly terms with his first wife (this speaks highly of him even to me), he's not pro-choice...what is the problem? Did McCain waver when asked if he wishes it were legal to execute homosexuals?

Darla,

Can you imagine the TV ads the Repugs would run, if Bill Clinton dressed up as a drag queen, and let Bill Gates fondle and stick his face in his "breasts"?

No. I might think I can imagine, but neither you nor I really can imagine, because they are some sick mf's, and we can't even go where their minds would go with that. But, I'd pay to see it!

Hoobert Heaver? That's grotesque, I must admit. Didn't you mean J. Edgar Hoover, though?

No wonder you couldn't take over heaven. You can't even remember the names of your own non-coms.
