Sugar Cookies

3/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. extract flavoring, vanilla, lemon, almond etc.
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2.5 cup flour

Cream butter and sugar
Add eggs and extract. Mix
Add renaming ingredients in order listed and mix after each addition.
Chill, at least 4 hours, recommended, overnight

Roll out to desired thickness and cut into shapes

Bake on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.

375 degrees 10-13 minutes, do not over bake
Immediately remove cookies from sheet to cooking wrack.

Frosting
1/4 cup warm water
1 Tbsp Corn Syrup
1/4 tsp extract
3 cups powdered sugar

Mix water, syrup and extract till blended
Add liquid mixture to powdered sugar.
Add more sugar or water for desired consistency
Add food coloring if desired

Cookies freeze beautifully, frosted or unfrosted.

Frosting will dry hard
