You got idiots like kamala calling today's holiday Indigenous peoples day instead of calling it by its appropriate name
as Columbus Day. These radical leftists just can't get over their extreme hatred of some of the sins committed by our
Founders some 4 to 5 hundred years ago. Is it their affixation with DEI, having reparations for blacks and or Indians,
or is it just that they are and always will be loons that will never adjust their anti American madness to become real
patriotic Americans like me?

He was responsible for slavery and torture. Not something to celebrate.

They deliberately spread utterly false lies about him in our schools. Same with Cortez and others who came here and improved the lives of the average South and Central American indians. They try and claim Howard Zinn was an historian and scholar. He wasn't, he was just a scumbag lying commie sociopath.

Yeah, that commie howard zinn was the perfect example of the commie ideology of what the dems of today abide by.

Columbus did not enslave or torture anyone in the country we now call America.

He found cannibals and other savages; they immediately tried to embroil the Spaniards into their local politics of wars and slavery and mass murders. When the Euros refused to play along with the savages they began attacking the Euros. Like with all of these mythical 'oppressed indigenous peoples;', their problems were entirely self-inflicted.

He wasn't?
No, he wasn't. Columbus made three expeditions to the Americas. In none of those did he step foot in what is now the United States. Columbus also didn't haul slaves to the New World or stay long enough to capture and enslave any native peoples. Sure, other Spainards that followed did, and the even more pernicious Portuguese were quick pile on (Brazil was the last nation in the Americas to abolish slavery).

Outside of that, across the board, the importation of slaves from Africa was done to replace the indigenous population that was all but wiped out by smallpox.

Why would they do that? He was a hero before the facts came out. We even claimed wrongly that he discovered the world is round. He made at least 4 trips yet never reached America. How could he have discovered it?

Christopher Columbus's arrival in 1492 led to the enslavement, violence, and death of the indigenous people he encountered, often referred to as Indians because he mistakenly believed he had reached the East Indies. His interactions resulted in the introduction of devastating diseases, the forceful taking of land and wealth, and the beginning of the transatlantic slave trade. Modern perspectives on Columbus often focus on these brutal actions and their devastating, long-lasting impact on Native American communities.

He tortured innocent Native Americans for their gold, cutting off the hands of those who refused to give up their gold, and sometimes even burning down entire villages for the precious mineral. Columbus was also a slave trader, forcing hundreds of Native Americans onto his ships to take them back as slaves to Spain.

Keep playing stupid. It's the only thing you're competent at and do well.

lol more rubbish, to be expected from some skinhead ex-con. There was already slavery, a hell of a lot of violence and death; the Spaniards actually reduced it., moron.
