Clear the air?

1 in 3 Americans believe that the 2020 presidential election was fraudulent, according to opinion polls.

Should a bipartisan commission be set up with full powers to investigate what Trump’s claims of “widespread election fraud” are worth? Many people would like to draw a line under the past, but that can’t be done as long as this is around – Trump’s legacy - with the potential to cause further violence.

And would his followers accept the findings?

Wrong strategy. They know the election was fair, they are just lying to make themselves feel more powerful.

Yea, that's it... Dismiss one in three American's views as crazy, lying, whatever. What'll happen is next election it'll be one in two Americans think the election was rigged.

If you want to restore faith in the election process, then you make every effort to make the process as open, clear, and double checked as possible. But right now, people like you BP, are simply saying it was fair and honest without offering anything in support of that while telling those who doubt to STFU. Not the way to convince anyone of anything.

They would just move the goalposts again. So know. It would just be another 'Obama birth certificate' debacle. There are agreed upon processes for elections and for challenging results. No need to add another one. It just gives oxygen to the conspiracy theories.

It's a great idea but I doubt if they would accept it if there is even one (D) on the committee. And if you make it all (R)s, they will say whatever they need to, to satisfy the Cult and their orange globule. Most likely this will not be the truth.

Yes, that's exactly what we're doing. Because you are fucking insane, and there is no dealing with insane people. Listen very carefully. WE DO NOT HAVE TO OFFER ANYTHING. Votes were cast and counted, votes were certified, electoral votes were cast, lawsuits were filed and dismissed, Congress certified the election and Biden is in the White House. Now do us a favor and SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT IT. Or offer something in the way of proof. You can't? Okay, then how about option A?

The problem is, of course, that it's already that way -- but you sheeple on the RW refuse to believe it because your Cult leader told you otherwise, along with the manipulators in the media you consume.

When we moved here in 2016, we went to get our drivers licenses and plates changed. We also used the occasion to register to vote. Not only did we have to produce our licenses and registrations from the old state, we had to bring our birth certificates and proof of new address. In our case that was our closing documents for the house. I also produced my passport. All of these documents were verified and photocopied and (I presume) sent to the state.

When we go to vote, we have to produce our drivers licenses again, plus sign the voting card and have our signatures compared to the originals in the voter registration books kept by each precinct. This is so, even though the election clerks are our neighbors and people we know. After filling out the ballot, you slip it into the sleeve that they gave you, then slide the ballot into the tabulating machine. No one else sees or handles it.

I have no idea how on Earth you think that voting could be made any more secure. In truth, if your candidate doesn't win, you'll cast shade on the whole process.

You're just a lying scumbag. Lost interest in you.

Not surprised. Glad to hear the number is dropping. But don't expect it to go away.

It is very close to the number of Republicans who responded to a poll in year 2019, that they believed it was 'probably true' that Obama was born in Kenya: 35%

Hello T. A. Gardner,

Yea, that's it... Dismiss one in three American's views as crazy, lying, whatever. What'll happen is next election it'll be one in two Americans think the election was rigged.

I agree the abrasive approach is not winning anyone over. The left and the right both have their angry impolite approach well represented. But seriously, it is not up to the winner of an election to prove the election wasn't stolen. It is up to those people who believe it was to bring proof of it. Sorry, that's just the way things work. So far, no such proof has been offered or found. And it has been looked for very diligently. It's just not there. It was a clean election. If people refuse to believe facts, giving them more facts is probably not going to change their minds.

Hello Controlled Opposition,

It is time to move on.

That's what's going to happen. There isn't going to be any more action on the election. It's over. President Biden has taken office. It's done. Those who refuse to believe he is legitimately elected are entitled to believe whatever they want, but they will likely become fewer and fewer as time goes by. No doubt some of them will never give up on the idea, and take it to the grave, but that's life. There are still people who refuse to believe lots of major occurrences in the news. Moon landing, Nixon guilty, JKF shooter, Sandy Hook, OJ, whatever. Fake news and tabloids have been milking this kind of stuff forever. It's just sad in this day and age that so many fall for it.

That's because "1 in 3 Americans" are retarded and believe what Trump tells them.

That's where you live. There are other states where registration when you get a driver's license is automatic unless you decline--like California, or states where no voter ID is required whatsoever. In some states the voter rolls are never purged.

Then there's allowing things like ballot harvesting...

Sure thing there, Skippy, sure thing.

With the greatest respect, you are deceived to believe that there are two parties in Washington DC. There is only one.

The Democrats and the Republicans are Professional Wrestlers putting on a show for the rubes. The winner and the loser BOTH get paid and BOTH profit only when the fans buy their tickets.

The Uni-Party was devised and planned ONLY to maintain the Uni-Party and make the viability of any "Third" Party impossible.

Trump used the system to gain power, but never accomplished dominance over any part of the system. That is why BOTH parties opposed him from the day he was nominated forward.

The Social media tyrants and the MSM propagandists are joining into the fight to openly attack and silence the dissidents on our country.

Your post demonstrates that they have succeeded in their efforts to deceive many in our population. AGAIN. Trump may have been our last chance.

The reaction of the Social Media Platform oligarchs and the legacy media gate keepers seems to indicate that access to the Market Place of Ideas is no longer open to dissidents.

It's a little sad. Jefferson's dream had a good run.

With the greatest respect, there was ONE check on mail in ballots to help substantiate legitimacy that the ballot was submitted by the voter who was registered. It was the signature.

That check was also eliminated. Whether the process to eliminate it was technically legal or blatantly illegal is important now only in a fantasy football kind of a way.

The intent of the change and the outcome that apparently stands today is to eliminate any method to verify the legally demanded qualifications of voters.

The burden of proof is always on the accusers- not the accused. THE REPUBLICAN LED SUPREME COURT MADE THAT PLAIN AND SIMPLE!

This! This is why you Republitards are chasing and biting at your own tails! And let me just tell you something else- We Democrats don't give a flying fuck what you idiots believe anymore! You think whatever you want-

How many keys to life are you missing? Before you choose a political party- any party- or choose a leader for your party- perhaps you may want to wise your ass up a bit.
