Lindzen and Curry both accept the basic tenets of climate science, namely that CO2 is a greenhouse gas, that human emissions of CO2 are changing the atmosphere, and that human emissions of CO2 should therefore have some warming impact on global climate.
Lindzen is a contrarian in the sense he does not think the impacts on the climate from humans will be substantial or have significant, adverse environmental consequences.
He is a contrarian, but not an outright denier.
This board has a long history of outright Climate Deniers, who have, at various times claimed that there was no such things as global warming, that global warming was a "Chinese Hoax", or more hilariously that there was a vast international conspiracy of climate scientists who were faking the data to "hide the cooling" and perpetrate a hoax. It takes a really special kind of dishonesty and ignorance to rate the title of genuine Climate Denier, which is basically on a par with evolution denier and holocaust denier.

That's why they quickly changed their global warming lie to climate change when it became clear that the earth's "natural" atmospheric condition had changed once again to a slight cooling cycle. Now they have the perfect scam, no matter what it's truly doing outside your window, they can claim it as climate change. Take note that they get upset now days if you even mention the words "global warming." That scam fails just by keeping records on actual temperatures.
