Yupper, that was slick willie.

WASHINGTON, March 30, 1994 President Clinton signed a federal buyout bill Wednesday designed to reduce the government payroll by about 273,000 by the end of fiscal year 1999.

In a statement released at the White House while the president vacationed in San Diego, Clinton reiterated his commitment to streamline the government and asserted, 'After all the rhetoric about cutting the size and cost of government, our administration has done the hard work and made the tough choices.'

'I believe the economy will be stronger, and the lives of middle class people will be better, as we drive down the deficit with legislation like this,' he added.
