Closing on the House Monday

Cause I'm an old fart who used gov bond money at 12% in 84 and then refied at 8.25 thought I was in Heaven.
I'm commuting 45 miles for 9 months to not lose the rate or the tax deduction.

A'ight. I'll be closing on a new set rate of 4.99 in a few days...

4.99?! That's incredible. Rates also vary state to state. Whenever I log on to Yahoo finance and look at the national average, I pretty much know Jersey's rates are going to be about 0.2 - 0.4% higher.

Yah... I was thrilled to get it. It isn't much higher than my current Interest Only rate. (I was paying down the principal people, don't get over-excited...)

dam Chevron Paid a point to get me like a quarter off the rate. 4.99 is redicoululys good. Nice job
Mother chevron is also moving my goods, and paying my closing cost.:cof1:

How spoiled am I? About three years ago they paid me 1.5 months salary and misc expenses to move to Houston.
After Katrina they paid me the same to come back. I didn't want to go in the first place. Shhhh!!!
Last year and this year 7% retention bonus for war zone pay.

That is rather nice! I feel like my company has been good to me too. But we'll see in a few months once my current job is moved to Connecticut.

I'm in Jersey now. But I'm not going to CT. We're headquartered in Jersey, so there are plenty of jobs around here. Hopefully I'll get to work in the international division.

I need a change. I'm growing tired of consolidations. Actually, it kind of sucks. Particularly since I'm dependent on everyone else for stuff, so when they mess up I look stupid. This has not been a good morning....

OK tmi.

Yeah LadyT, they keep the pot so stirred up no one seems to get to the proper comfort or knowledge level. Constant reorgs...

I feel your pain, I used to do earnings reporting and have to wait on divisions for ever and come up with explanations at the 11th hour usually when the culprets had long gone home.
I liked the job but don't miss the closing.
Now I'm a financial analyst/cost accountant for project Engineers no real fires to put out.

I'm a finance manager of consolidations and most of my job revolves around liaising with corporate on our earnings from the business groups in our division. Well, I typically get conflicting data, bad data, etc. Not to mention every quarter they want to reclass stuff. So its my name on the stuff sent up to corporate that needs to be adjusted and or corrected every time. I feel like i have to shoulder everyone elses mishaps and my own. So much for moving up the corporate ladder.
