CNN's Anchor To Bullies Of 10-Yr-Old Kid Who Won't "Pledge": "He's Smarte

how cute Cnn has no taken to berating children..

Are you insane? You'd tolerate bullying a 10-year old but criticize the adult who stands up for him?

None of the bullies was accosted in person and no names were named.

Get a grip already.

hahahah, the thread is about the anchor of Cnn, you get a grip already..please

No shit, Sherlock. The CNN anchor is the adult I was talking about.

I don't know if I'd go so far to call her an adult..she was calling children names at the end, "you are DORKWADS"...isn't that what the kid in the interview was complaining about..?

but if you see it as being professional, so be it..

Yeah, I see that she was paraphrasing the bullies' words to get her point across. It's called irony.

If the kid's point (I can't know for sure from only this clip) is that he will not recite the pledge until we fulfill equal rights for LGBT, then it's a valid act of quasi civil disobedience and he was wise in selecting it because obviously he is where he is now.

He should be applauded. Of course, reciting the pledge is a patriotic act, but only in a superficial way. Fulfilling the meaning of the pledge in our actions is much more important to the purpose of our country, and in that sense, people often seem to have forgotten what the pledge really means.

It's not unpatriotic to use your rights to make a point, even if it offends some people's sensibilities about established customs. In fact, the opposite is true. It's unpatriotic in the United States, a country founded in the ideas of liberty, to sit around with nothing useful to say when other people's rights are on the chopping block.

"paraphrasing" takes on new definition......
n.
1. A restatement of a text or passage in another form or other words, often to clarify meaning.
2. The restatement of texts in other words as a studying or teaching device.
3. Stooping to the depths of.....

Another kid indoctrinated by his parents, looking for their 15 minutes. I wonder how long it will be before we read the kid got the shit kicked out of him.
