In Yo Face!
Another coal mine in Pennsylvania is closing, despite the efforts of pro-coal President Donald Trump.

Though Trump has slashed environmental regulations, market forces are hurting coal’s chance for a revival.

The closure of the 4 West Mine in Greene County will cost 370 miners jobs, as StateImpact Pennsylvania recently reported.

Hear about the impact the closing will have on the miners and what the outlook for the coal industry with reporter Reid Frazier:

That's devastating in an area where those are likely the only decent jobs. If Trump really cares about these workers (HAHAHAHAHAHHAA), he'd be promoting some sort of relocation and retraining program for them.

With cheaper, cleaner, and more efficient alternatives, coal never had a chance to come back. I am sure the miners will remember trumps promises and his failure to accomplish anything.

What happen to, I alone can fix it?!!

Nice to see you liberals are rejoicing my state loosing it's industry and jobs. Hell, you want to see the government supporting everyone, right? Put everyone out of a job so they have to vote Dem to sustain themselves. Quite the strategy you have.
The thing that sucks about the whole damn situation it is the fact that these people who've lost their jobs would much prefer to support themselves. Isn't the fact that losing your pride because you've lost the means to support your family humiliating enough? Obviously it isn't.

Nobody is rejoicing... Trump lied to the coal miners and tricked them.

The above quote wasn't the first post in this thread. Read the one's above it.

Why do you work? I work to support myself and buy the toys I want to play with. Don't you?
Why would you criticize those who lost their means to do the same through no fault of their own?

I remember when FULL-SERVICE Gas Stations ... that had real people who PUMPED your Gas.

Coal is fading it's that simple. The entire world is scattered with mines and industries and ports that have outlive their usefulness. There are more jobs now in Renewables then in Coal. Time for coal miners to face reality and do something else. The United States is made up of people who left a bad situation seeking a better situation. Get out of coal country and go to where the opportunities are.

So you are suggesting a complete restructuring of one's "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness" is so simple? Where would they go? How can they afford both reeducation and relocation?
You say they outlived their usefulness, why don't you say you'd support their extermination because they voted for the only chance they had to sustain themselves and their families? The alternative even stated they would push to end their industry. You call them deplorables, anyway. Right?

I call trump voters deplorables because that is what they are. this is exactly the issue that trump should be addressing instead of telling people coal is going to come back. coal is fading its that simple. This is how reality works... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ghost_towns_in_the_United_States

Would you prefer to retrain and relocate.. or, subsidize coal or nationalize coal mining? Can you find ANY investors willing to build coal fired power plants?
