Coca-Cola Super Bowl Ad

M'eh... Both coke and others are taking a soft drink ad way too seriously. I can understand Coke doing it, but everybody else?

The small stuff gets in the way of serious issues. On Friday Obama released the report on the XL pipeline that pretty much said: "Environmentalist wackos are nutjobs who shouldn't be anywhere near policy" and then ignored the report to continue to crush jobs while pretending the 63% participation rate of employment means that unemployment is really going down.

Stop focusing so much on the small stuff. It's a song translated into a few languages to get some people to buy a beverage. And the ad did exactly what they wanted, it got people talking about the stupid beverage. It's the ad that keeps on giving.

I think that people hating due to extreme nationalism and xenophobia is a big thing.

Translation: Look over there! Something shiny! Don't look over here where the numbers don't support my earlier assertions in another thread that the economy is improving... Look over THERE!

Stay on message, Granule. Don't let them distract you with stupidity like this, keep the focus on the failure of this President to grow anything but the government.

I am capable of discussing two things at once. So is most of the nation.

As far as the economy improving, there are many indicators that suggest it is so. I am sorry you chose to cast a partisan blind eye on that.

And The Hildebeast is waiting in the wings, now that Christie has been declared DOA over an alleged impropriety.

Yet another corporation that has been bitten by the political correctness bug:

Is it racist to go out of your way to deliberately bring race into your message?

Actually I don't have a problem with the ad. They are a global brand and it is a global game. I just didn't like it. Don't really have a reason per se. But I am a Pepsi guy anyway.

Bottom line is Coca Cola is getting attention so the ad is a success

That's a load of crap Damo and you don't know what you're talking about. On either the Keystone project or unemployment.

Xenophobia and nationalism don't bother Damocles, its money and what the government should be doing about it that concerns him. If you talk about the malignancy that is extreme nationalism, you are taking your eye off the ball.

One only need to read their history to know where that will take you. The Somme, Verdun, Stalingrad, Hiroshima, etc,.

The end result of the type of hate that has been exhibited over the Coke commercial is holocaust. If that's not a big thing to you, ok.

What "hate", Counselor?

Looks like another distraction from the failed Obamaconomy with midterms looming.

You're derping. The reality is as more people give up the job search it is not a sign of a good job market. Record number of people remain on food stamps, according to this Administration and Nancy Pelosi that's the "best stimulus possible"... yet people still give up on the job market and add themselves to the rolls for food stamps.

You've got "that's junk" and the derping of Krugtron the "invincible" (<-link) who is as right as often as Desh and claims it as often too.

Don't forget... Auschwitz, Dachau, Flossenberg, Stutthof...
