MEADVILLE – Allegheny College’s Ford Memorial Chapel was transformed into a boudoir of sorts Wednesday night, as professional sex educators advised students in attendance how best to touch themselves and their partners to reach orgasm in what was billed as an educational seminar.

The chapel, built and dedicated in 1902, is where Catholic mass and non-denominational services are conducted every week at the private liberal arts college in northwestern Pennsylvania. But all that took a back pew to Wednesday’s festivities, dubbed “I Heart the Female Orgasm” and hosted by a variety of student groups on campus.

If I was in school and I saw that lecture was being offered and some chick was performing my ass would have been there. I'd let others argue the deeper meaning of it.

Why did they choose the church depite there being other acceptable venues around? Classrooms the size of auditoriums, auditoriums and stage platforms, courtyards, fairgrounds, any number of things. My school even has an arbitorium! Leaving the correctness of a school even offering or allowing this out of mind for a second, why did they choose the church?

The answer is because they are inflamatory pigs. They want a reaction, they had to know somebody would raise an outrage. Something along the lines of "We want to make it okay to have sex anywhere!" was probably going through those perverse little head.

Like - the almost complete lack of sexual-orientation reference and the questionaire about porn and sex. It (imo) seems to call several 'controversial' ideas into question, asks open ended questions, and then fails to answer them. Maybe I'm looking at it wrong, however.
 
I'll admit on the surface it seems odd that they would hold it in a church rather than a classroom, as if they are trying to send a message to the church. But as stated before I'd be there in a heartbeat. (I'd have to think that would be a good place to meet women)

You're still young dude. As I've gotten older I've found there are (many) women (for whatever reasons) who don't start doing themselves until later in life (after college).

I'm assuming there's no guy on stage pulling out his junk trying to show guys how to use it. (I babysit my two year old nephew this weekend, little dude wouldn't let his schlong out of his hand).

You put a woman on stage and it's probably not much different than a strip club in terms of audience but since it is college you might have some 'open minded' women who show up. Worth a shot IYAM.

Maybe the class was so popular the chruch was the only place with enough space. Im glad sex is comming out of the dark.
