Comer Announces Subpoena Over Tim Walz’s China Ties​

Knewz.com is reporting that the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability has claimed that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has a "longstanding connection" to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The committee has invoked whistleblower disclosures regarding a Microsoft Teams group chat among Department of Homeland Security (DHS) employees that discussed Walz's links to China.

Walz recently admitted he "misspoke" about visiting Hong Kong in spring 1989 during the Tiananmen Square protests. The lie was exposed after unearthed evidence proved Walz wasn't there. The evidence also debunked his claims about preparing for a teaching position in Hong Kong during the protests.

Ran a China tourism company that specialized in high school students getting an indoctrination into Chinese government. Some trips for these high school students were paid for in part by the CCP.
Was a fellow at the Macau Polytechnic Institute
Lied about all of this repeatedly.
Was sufficient that DHS raised serious concerns about his activities there and ties
 
Subpoenaing all the information about educational trips to China for teenagers.... Good thing there is nothing more important going on in the world :palm:
