NASHVILLE, Tenn.--One of the Nashville homes vandalized last month with hate symbols and messages is the residence of a Tennessee State University (TSU) professor.

Dr. Andrew Patrick, who has taught at the university for 10 years was among the victims of the vandalism which took place in Sylvan Park on March 19. According to a media release on the incident from the school, Dr. Patrick has previously had Black Lives Matter (BLM) signs stolen from his front yard in the past but this was the first time his home had been vandalized.

The vandalism included Nazi symbols and the words "White Power" spray painted on the front of the home. “This happens a lot. But the actual vandalizing of our houses with the Neo-Nazi signs and statements is new,” Dr. Partrick says.
