Remember all the folks (Republicans, cough) on here trying to convince us that the Confederate flag is a symbol of history and has nothing to do with racism?

Straight from the KKK online store:

Okay. Now, tell me, children, if you can spot the pattern.

God.

Why does looking at the confederate flag make me want to puke?

It's quite possibly the ugliest flag in existence, and whenever you combine it with the brilliant graphic designers they have working at the KKK...

Because you're an ignorant, jew-brainwashed self hating white man.

Why do people only use the battle flag? I always find it interesting how one of the least-used symbols of the time became the most prominent symbol of the Era.

The Battle Flag, the one here represented as the "Confederate Flag" was not a national flag at all. The first national flag named "The Stars and Bars" was much like the US flag with two red one white stripe the blue field with only seven stars. Amazingly in their haste to create a flag they forgot to enact a flag law, for two years it was in use, but never officially became the "Confederate Flag".

The next flag that followed, the first official flag of the Confederacy, called "The Stainless Banner", which had the square battle flag in the corner on a field of white. The third, only the second official flag, was much the same with a vertical red stripe on the far right of the flag.

There were many different battle flags, the Generals used them to mark which regiment was where, and whose troops were theirs or the enemies. Most, after the official adoption of the battle flag (it was square not rectangular) had a field that had that "Southern Cross".

Isn't "heritage not hate" basically Blackascoals reason to name himself and have that avatar? It was about being proud or something like that.
