With 48% of the vote, Michael Bennet has won his first campaign for Senate.
I hope he remembers every day that more people in CO voted for somebody else.
What this win tells me is that blatantly false negative ads for weeks on end really will win you an election.
Yes, they do and boy did Joe Miller run a bunch of them!
Was it that Trancredo was a racist?I didn't really follow the race. What were his blatantly false ads about?
Such a shame. I seriously wish more people paid attention, and I really don't care which side uses them. The negative ad campaign that was even called out by the Denver Post as "despicable" and "disingenuous" from the Bennet campaign really did the job.Yes, they do and boy did the Tea Time Republicans run a bunch of them, too! You would think there would be some sort of fine for that! but I guess that would be regulation and we know how people hate that!
Tancredo had nothing to do with the Buck race. Was it that Trancredo was a racist?
It is a shame and I am sorry to hear it, but this is where we have gotten ourselves.Such a shame. I seriously wish more people paid attention, and I really don't care which side uses them. Amazingly, after saying that Bennet sucked as senator, the Denver Post still gave him their endorsement adding "However a vote for Buck would be a solid vote for a principled candidate and he would make a good senator."
They literally said that while Bennet stank, they thought he'd do better... I can't imagine why anybody would believe that the DP is anything but a Democrat rag anymore...
I am sorry, thinking one name and typing the other!Tancredo had nothing to do with the Buck race.
I was trying to be funny, buy seriously what was the issues, I didn't follow that race closely!I am sorry, thinking one name and typing the other!

It's okay. The main thrust was about the "I don't wear high heels" rubbish, they tried to make him into somebody who doesn't respect women. The Post itself as well as the local news would constantly point out the way they took out of context and actually just fabricated stuff.I was trying to be funny, buy seriously what was the issues, I didn't follow that race closely!
I am not real impressed with Bennett, I hope he doesn't ruin one of my favorite states! I just read some of the criticism by the Post, seems he was whining about treatment like this to himself in the past and now he does it to Buck! This is what I hate about politics! Bennett appears to be a hypocrite! It's okay. The main thrust was about the "I don't wear high heels" rubbish, they tried to make him into somebody who doesn't respect women. It always leaves me with a nasty taste in my mouth. The Markey/Musgrave runs were some of the worst. Neither of those "ladies" should have ever held a seat in Congress. You needed this win to tell you that?
How long have you been following politics again?
I always smile at his name!Hickenlooper ran an all positive campaign. However, that's an easy promise to make when your opposition is tearing itself apart. Wilson did something similar in 1912.
