A Minnesota man has invented a gun that looks like a phone.

Kirk Kjellberg said he was sitting at a restaurant when a small child called him out for having a gun.

So, he invented the "Ideal Conceal," a cellphone-sized two-shot Derringer-style gun.

The gun has triggered quite debate on social media, with many people saying it should be illegal.

Kjellberg said it’s all about convenience.

The plastic gun with a metal core is not a security threat at places like airports.

He said he has been contacted by Homeland Security and is willing to provide law enforcement with X-rays of the weapon so they can train officers to recognize it.

The "Ideal Conceal" will hit the market in October for $395.
