Controlling the media is a basic tenet of fascism. They have to control the narrative to quash dissent and spread their propaganda.

And it sure looks like tRump is behind this hostile takeover of warner bros by paramount.

The deal would include CNN, and trump is already discussing which hosts should be fired.

It has been in the past, but in America the super wealthy are buying up and merging the media. The conglomerates own newspapers, radio, TV and movie companies. https://www.webfx.com/blog/internet/the-6-companies-that-own-almost-all-media-infographic/ 6 bhuge corporations own nearly all the media in America/ Rightys cannot understand why that is bad. It is tragic for a free press and to escape the power and control of the super rich.
