I inadvertently came across this article about Cathy Smith today and that led to the controversy over Bob Woodward's "Wired".
"Cathy Smith — the woman who was responsible for injecting comedian John Belushi with heroin and cocaine, which led to his death at 33 — died August 18 at the age of 73." Her life spiraled after being convicted for Belushi's death and serving 15 months. She was living in a senior living building as shown below before she died.
This Rolling Stone article details the controversy over Woodward's biography. My reading of it says that the family wanted a full biography and Woodward was only interested in the drugs aspect, hence the title "Wired".
