The convention can choose who it wants if a candidate is incapacitated or dead.

If Trump dies and Pence is dying, who would they nominate for VP to thwart Pelosi from becoming President?
Pelosi is in the line of succession. it would be her job. Of course, knowing McConnell, he would not permit that to happen.

Which is why, if they're smart, there will be a contingency plan to put in a new VP so it doesn't fall to her.
McConnell is the power behind the throne. He will do whatever he wants as his Supreme Court judge fiasco showed. He has no interest in laws . He makes them as he finds suitable.
Trump did to corona what he does for everything else. he fucked it up. he waited because he is so sure of his specialness, that it would just go away. Then when it was abvious it was coming here and he needed test kits, he started late and it went wrong. We could have purchased them from Who. .Then they tried CDC and their kits were fucked up. So we spun our wheels until we got kits. But they were not able to tell us anything because they had rules that the CDC had to approve the tests. They were slammed and it was going very slow.
The entire point of the kits was to determine where the virus was and how many people were catching it. It was data collection. We were not getting it. We are barely getting it now and it is in 30 states.
