If the judge applies the law as written then he should be.
The special counsel law that is in play today is different than under Nixon and Clinton. Today a crime has to have been alleged to be committed. No crime has been alleged against President Trump. Surely nobody is claiming that we needed a special counsel to try Paul Manafort? Additionally, the special counsel law as written today is supposed to be limited to avoid the Ken Star scenario.
But, will the judge cave to political pressure? If the judge rules Muellers probe unconstitutional, the left will lose its collective mind given it was a Trump appointed judge. Because that is how they think
We shall see.
